吴仍茂博士,于2013年3月在浙江大学获光学工程博士学位;2013年7月获欧洲ERCIM学者奖,并于2013年8月至2014年7月作为欧洲ERCIM Fellow在西班牙马德里理工大学从事研究工作;之后于2014年12月至2016年11月在美国亚利桑那大学光学科学学院从事研究工作。主要围绕自由曲面在照明和成像中的应用开展系列的理论和试验研究,在自由曲面照明设计理论方面获得较大进展。近六年内,在Optica、Optics Letters等国际重要学术刊物上以第一作者及通讯作者发表SCI论文21篇,获美国光学学会(OSA)及美国工业和应用数学学会(SIAM)国际会议邀请报告各一次。

 

Abstract

      Freeform surfaces are playing an irreplaceable role in both illumination design and imaging system design due to their high degrees of design freedom. Compared with traditional spherical surfaces, freeform surfaces can generate more compact and lightweight optical systems with better performance. The first part of the talk introduces the mathematical essence of illumination design and presents the Monge–Ampère equation method which may be the most advanced among the current zero-étendue methods of illumination design. The second part of the talk introduces illumination design for extended sources and presents a direct design method to achieve an accurate control of the spatial energy distribution of an extended source in three-dimensional (3D) geometry with a freeform lens. The last part of the talk focuses on freeform imaging optics design and presents an algorithm for designing freeform imaging optics with non-rational B-Spline surfaces.
