报告人简介：
Jon is the Professor of Color Imaging, at Department of Computing, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Gjovik Norway (NTNU). He received his PhD at Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, Paris in 1999. He then worked in US for 2 years and then went back to NTNU. In 2005, he established the Norwegian Color and Visual Computing Laboratory as Director and was Director until 2016. He is a well known expert in the field of colour reproduction, colour managment, multispectral color imaging, etc.
He is NTNU’s representative in the management committee of the Erasmus+Joint Master Degree COSI (Colour in Science and Industry, http://www.master-colourscience.eu/).
讲座摘要：
After having situated the NTNU and the Norwegian Color and Visual Computing Laboratory on the map, and introduced its context, main purpose and research focus, I will give a brief overview of our different educational and research activities, including various topics like color management, print quality, device modeling, gamut mapping, video surveillance, videoconferencing, multispectral imaging, image quality, medical imaging, cultural heritage imaging, and appearance. Then I will go deeper into the research area of visual appearance, addressing our recent research on the measurement and perception of surface appearance attributes beyond color, including gloss, translucency, and texture..
